Beaches and Lakes

The Central Coast is famous for its surf beaches, lakes and lagoons and you’ll find plenty of places to surf, swim, fish, boat, kayak, paddle board or explore protected rock pools just a short drive away.

Beaches

Picturesque Soldiers Beach at Norah Head is a favourite amongst the locals and is just a 5 min drive away.  Just around the corner is the Rockpool at Norah Heads Cabbage Tree Bay which offers a perfect playground for children due to its sheltered location.  Wonder further and explore any number of beaches in the area such as The Entrance, Toowoon Bay, Shelly Beach, Terrigal, Avoca, Umina just to name a few.

Lakes

Toukley Motel is surrounded by Lake Budgewoi to the north and Lake Tuggerah to the south. Canton Beach which is on the foreshore of the tranquil Lake Tuggerah is just 1.5km away and offers plenty to do. It is renowned for fantastic fishing and recreational water sports such as paddle board hire, kayak hire, sailing, jet boating, windsurfing and offers a safe swimming spot perfect for young children.

Bushwalks

Toukley has many opportunities for those who want to explore nature by foot. Less than 3km away is the entrance to the Wyrrabalong National Park which offers spectacular bushwalks with lookouts over both the ocean and Lake Tuggerah. There are perfect vantage points for whale watchers which can be seen frequently passing by.
